Judge allows Jan. 6 defendant to travel to DC for Trump inauguration

A federal judge has allowed participants of the January 6th Capitol events to travel to Washington, DC for the presidential inauguration. Judge Tanya Chutkan made this decision. Erik Peterson, involved in the events, will be sentenced on January 27th, after Donald Trump's inauguration. As part of his plea agreement, Peterson must pay $500 in restitution to the Architect of the Capitol.
