A study by the Institut Pasteur in France found that children aged 6-11 transmit COVID-19 minimally in schools. Conducted in Crepy-en-Valois, the study involved 1,340 participants, including 510 children. Only three children were infected before school closures, and none transmitted the virus during exposure. Initial assumptions suggested high contagion among children, similar to the flu, but this study indicates a low risk of outbreaks originating from schools. However, researchers express caution regarding older students aged 16-18. The results are preliminary and not yet published in a peer-reviewed journal.
