Police Arrest Dozens In Australia For Deliberately Setting Fires

Since early November, over 180 people have been arrested in Australia for fire-related offenses, including arson and violating fire bans. As firefighters combat around 130 bushfires along the East Coast, the fires have claimed at least 25 lives and destroyed over 1500 homes. Experts attribute 85% of bushfires to human activity. In New South Wales, those convicted of intentionally starting fires face up to 21 years in prison.
