VOICED : La OMS da luz verde a primera vacuna anticovid elaborada en América Latina

The World Health Organization has approved the emergency use of the first COVID-19 vaccine produced in Latin America, developed by AstraZeneca in collaboration with Argentina and Mexico. This approval allows for the vaccine's distribution through COVAX and the Pan American Health Organization. Argentina and Mexico have been producing the vaccine since August 2020, with financial backing from Carlos Slim's foundation. The vaccine uses a recombinant adenoviral vector technology. The approval comes amid rising COVID-19 cases in the Americas, with the pandemic causing over 5.3 million deaths worldwide.
