VOICED : Subvariante BA.5 de ómicron va camino de ser predominante en América

The Pan American Health Organization warns that the Omicron VA5 subvariant may soon dominate in the Americas, having been detected in 22 countries. While overall COVID-19 cases and deaths have slightly decreased, infections surged in Central America. Omicron sublineages VA4 and VA5 are increasingly responsible for new infections. Vaccines remain effective against severe cases and death from these subvariants.
