In October, dozens of Vietnamese migrants were found dead in a freight truck in the UK. An international investigation led by Eurojust involved Belgium, France, the UK, and Ireland. Early morning raids resulted in the arrest of 13 suspects in France and 13 in Belgium, accused of housing and transporting Asian migrants. Charges include migrant smuggling and forgery. The truck driver pleaded guilty to manslaughter. If convicted, suspects face up to 15 years in prison and fines per victim.
