$3.2M Settlement Reached In Police Killing Of Daunte Wright

A white Minnesota police officer is set to receive a multimillion-dollar settlement. The city of Brooklyn Center agreed to pay the Wright family $3.25 million and implement changes in policing practices and training. Officer Kim Potter was convicted of first and second-degree manslaughter for shooting and killing Wright during a traffic stop. She initially pulled him over for an expired license plate and an illegal air freshener. Potter is serving a two-year prison sentence.
