I WONDER - Why Were Ancient Temples Built?

Pharaohs constructed grand temples to honor deities, often dedicating them to multiple gods. These temples featured large statues and gardens, serving as peaceful worship spaces. Only priests were allowed inside these sacred areas, where they devoted themselves to serving the gods. Many temples included a sanctuary housing the god's statue. Notable temples include Luxor, the Temple of Horus, and Edfu.
