Overworked South Koreans stay in mock prisons to escape daily life

In 2017, South Koreans worked long hours, ranking third among 36 OECD countries. To find relief, some pay $90 to stay in a mock prison in Hongcheon, where they experience 24 hours of solitary confinement. The prison cell is minimalistic, with no clock or mirror, and inmates wear blue uniforms. Communication and mobile phones are prohibited. Meals are simple, consisting of steamed sweet potato, banana shake, and rice porridge.
