The Cao Dai religion, founded in 1926 in southern Vietnam, is symbolized by the Left Eye of God and balances the Yang and Yin forces. It worships two main deities: Kao Die, the Highest Lord, and Duk Fat Mao, the Holy Mother. The religion emphasizes equality but restricts women from the highest spiritual roles. It has a hierarchical structure similar to the Catholic Church and includes daily and monthly rituals. There are six recognized branches, with the largest in Tain Nin province. Training occurs at individual temples, and some sects have broken away due to government interference.
