The Rally Dakar organizers announced an exciting race during its presentation in Buenos Aires. The 2017 edition will traverse Paraguay, Bolivia, and Argentina, starting on January 2 in Asunción and ending on January 14 in Buenos Aires. Paraguay will host the event for the first time, joining Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia as South American hosts. The race will feature 316 vehicles from 59 countries, including nine female drivers, covering approximately 9,000 kilometers, with 4,000 kilometers being timed.
