VOICED : Cuba tiene 16 ciudades con wifi en plazas

As of Thursday, Cubans in 16 major cities can access wireless Internet. The service, launched by the government, offers Wi-Fi in 35 plazas at $2 per hour, a significant reduction from previous public rates. Despite the high cost relative to the average salary, many Cubans are eager to use the service for communication and staying updated. Users must create an account with Etecsa, the state telecom company. While the service is welcomed, there are calls for further price reductions and infrastructure improvements. In 2013, only 3.4% of Cuban households had Internet, one of the lowest rates globally.
