Disciplined Agile, introduced by IBM in 2012 and acquired by PMI in 2019, is a toolkit that offers a wide range of practices for Agile contexts. It is scalable and focuses on providing alternatives and choices for Agile teams. The framework is guided by 8 principles, including delighting customers, being awesome, and optimizing flow. PMI offers four levels of certification for Disciplined Agile. While the framework is highly customizable, it requires significant knowledge to implement effectively, often necessitating consultants. Disciplined Agile remains a standalone toolkit under PMI.
