VOICED : Getting lost

The Mohawk Cumella is a spiritually significant festival where millions gather for a holy dip in the River Ganges. However, the massive crowds lead to many getting lost, especially women and children. Camps are set up to help reunite lost individuals with their families, but the process can take days. Police work tirelessly to broadcast information and ensure safety, particularly for children who are at risk. On the first day alone, 6000 people were reported missing. Organizers expect 20 million attendees on the most auspicious day, urging families to stay together to avoid getting separated.
