World’s largest solar farm planned for Australia

The Australia-ASEAN Power Link project aims to construct the world's largest solar farm and battery in Australia, transmitting electricity to Singapore via the longest submarine power cable. The project, owned by Sun Cable, involves a 10 gigawatt solar array in Tennant Creek and a 30 gigawatt battery in Darwin. Electricity will be stored during the day and transmitted to Singapore in the evening, potentially supplying 20% of Singapore's power needs and reducing its reliance on gas-fired power.
