Piotr Kurilo, a Polish marathoner, is running 70 kilometers daily to reach Rome in time for the canonization of Pope John Paul II. His journey is also a mission to pray for world peace, particularly in Ukraine. Kurilo, who began his trek on March 15, maintains a rigorous routine, eating while walking and running from dawn to dusk. This is not his first endeavor for a cause; in 2002, he navigated a Polish river against the current to raise awareness for disabled individuals. His current goal is to honor the memory of John Paul II.
