VOICED : Migrantes hondurenos rompen cerco policial en frontera de Guatemala

A new caravan of Central American migrants is advancing towards the United States. Over a thousand Hondurans broke through a police barrier at the Guatemala border without major incidents. They began their journey from San Pedro Sula and entered Guatemala, where they dispersed. Guatemalan authorities reported that 1,350 Hondurans had presented the required documentation. However, the new Guatemalan president, Alejandro Yamatey, warned that the caravan would not be allowed into Mexico. In late 2018, thousands of migrants from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala formed caravans to escape violence and poverty, prompting US President Donald Trump to pressure these countries to sign agreements to curb migration.
