VOICED : Japón extiende el estado de emergencia por coronavirus hasta el 31 de mayo

Japan has extended its COVID-19 state of emergency until May 31, as announced by Prime Minister Jinzo Abe. The decision was made due to concerns that it is too early to ease restrictions. However, there is a possibility of lifting the measures earlier, following a review around May 14. Japan's emergency measures are less strict compared to some European countries and U.S. states, as they do not enforce movement restrictions or penalties. Since the pandemic began, Japan has reported over 15,000 cases and around 50 deaths.
