Puruchuca, a significant archaeological site in Lima, holds Inca history within its bounds. The site, spanning 76 hectares, was a major pre-Hispanic administrative and religious center. Despite only 10% being explored, numerous artifacts have been discovered. A proposed highway posed a threat, leading to the construction of tunnels to protect the site. Preservation efforts were prioritized, ensuring no damage to the archaeological structures. Future plans include building a large funerary bundle repository and a laboratory to further explore pre-Hispanic secrets.
