VOICED : Ministros sudamericanos firman alianza en Brasil contra el crimen organizado

Ministers and officials from nine South American countries announced a strategic alliance to combat transnational organized crime. The meeting, held in Brasilia, was organized by the Brazilian government. The alliance aims to expand traditional policing to coordinated actions for crime prevention. Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Uruguay emphasized the need for joint actions against criminal activities. Although Argentina and Chile were present, they did not sign the document, which was endorsed by Interpol and Ameripol. The alliance focuses on intelligence sharing to prevent crimes like the murders of prosecutors Marcelo Pucci and Luz Delgado. The proposal includes a plan to gather security agents at the International Police Cooperation Center in Rio de Janeiro, with biannual meetings to assess progress.
