Hades & Persephone short

The myth of Persephone involves Hades seeking Zeus's permission to marry her, despite knowing Demeter's disapproval. In some versions, Hades abducts Persephone, while in others, she willingly becomes Queen of the Underworld. Demeter, distraught by her daughter's disappearance, neglects her duties. Eventually, she discovers Persephone's whereabouts and demands her return. However, because Persephone ate pomegranate seeds from the underworld, she must spend part of the year there, leading to the seasonal cycle of spring and summer with Demeter, and autumn and winter with Hades.
