050 Vincent Van Gogh - One Minute History

Vincent van Gogh's life was marked by struggles and artistic evolution. He began as an unsuccessful art dealer and minister before moving to Brussels to pursue art. Under the guidance of Anton Mauve, he discovered oils and exhibited his work in Antwerp. Living frugally, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. In Paris, he was introduced to Impressionism by his brother Theo. In Alhala, he faced personal challenges, including a tumultuous relationship with Paul Gauguin, leading to the infamous ear incident. Van Gogh admitted himself to an asylum, where he created some of his most renowned works. Tragically, he ended his life in 1890, but his legacy was cemented with the opening of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
