Pfizer: COVID-19 Booster Shot Strongly Protects Against Delta Variant

The COVID vaccine significantly enhances protection against the Delta variant. A booster shot can increase protection at least fivefold for most adults and is even more effective for seniors compared to the current two-dose regimen. However, the data has not been peer-reviewed, and US health officials currently do not see a scientific need for a booster shot.
