Several States Seeing Rising COVID-19 Hospitalizations

Hospitalizations are increasing among unvaccinated individuals in several states. Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson is advocating for more vaccinations, noting that his state has one of the lowest vaccination rates. As COVID-19 cases decreased, so did the urgency for vaccinations, leading to a drop in demand. Hutchinson believes that full FDA approval of vaccines could reduce hesitancy. Currently, over 46% of the US population is fully vaccinated, but states like Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Wyoming have rates below 35%.
