CLEAN : Liberia: HIV medication being used to try and treat Ebola

The video discusses the antiviral drug lamivudine, invented in 1988 in the US, initially used to treat viral hepatitis B and later HIV. Due to similarities between HIV and Ebola, researchers explored its potential for Ebola treatment. Clinical trials showed promising results, with most patients surviving, although two patients with pre-existing conditions did not survive.
