Denmark to send unwanted migrants to remote island

Denmark plans to relocate criminals and rejected asylum seekers, who cannot be deported, to Lindholm Island, 3 km from the mainland. Ferry services will allow them to leave the island but not overnight. The plan, developed by Denmark's conservative government and the Danish People's Party, includes a $115 million investment in housing facilities on the island, expected to open in 2021.
