Macbeth Summary

Macbeth, a Scottish nobleman, encounters witches who predict his rise to power. Driven by ambition and spurred by his wife, he murders King Duncan to become king. Guilt and paranoia lead him to kill Banquo, but Banquo's ghost haunts him. The witches' new prophecies give Macbeth false confidence, but his tyranny leads to rebellion. Macduff, not born of a woman, ultimately kills Macbeth, and Malcolm becomes king.
