Chilean taxi drivers protested against Uber and Cabify, demanding their removal due to unfair competition and tax evasion. The protest took place on Santiago's Alameda Avenue, close to the presidential office. The government stated that regulating these services is up to Congress. A legal attempt by taxi drivers to suspend Uber was dismissed by the Santiago Court of Appeals.
