The CELAC China forum in Santiago announced China's commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to boost trade across Asia, Europe, and Africa, and extend the 21st-century Silk Road to Latin America and the Caribbean. Chile, Mexico, and Peru are part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is restructuring without the US after its withdrawal. Efforts are underway to enhance infrastructure connectivity between Asia and Latin America. China plans to invite 600 regional political leaders, offer 6,000 scholarships, and collaborate on industry and innovation.
