White House Press Secretary shows get well cards sent to Pres. Eisenhower by his grandchildren

In Denver, White House Press Secretary James C. Haggerty presents a get-well message to President Eisenhower, affectionately called 'Ike' by his grandchildren. Three-year-old Susan sends a drawing and bubblegum, while six-year-old Barbara Ann also sends bubblegum and a pastoral scene. Seven-year-old David, an enthusiastic horseman, sends a drawing of two figures on horses, one carrying the American flag. These heartfelt gifts from the grandchildren are considered the best get-well presents the President and Mrs. Eisenhower have ever received.
