He aims to participate in the 2022 elections but has not specified the position he will seek. Moro's work in the Lavallato scandal exposed corruption involving Petrobras and implicated former president Lula, who was imprisoned but later released. Moro served as Justice Minister under President Bolsonaro but resigned, accusing Bolsonaro of interfering with the Federal Police. As the 2022 elections approach, Bolsonaro and Lula lead in polls, while Moro's support is below 10%. If unable to run for president, Moro may consider a Senate bid.
