VOICED : Abimael Guzman vuelve a juicio en Peru

Abimael Guzmán, leader of the Peruvian Maoist guerrilla group Sendero Luminoso, appeared in a Lima court for the first time in nearly a decade. He is serving a life sentence for terrorism. The trial concerns a 1992 attack that killed 25 people, but Guzmán's direct involvement is disputed. The defense argues the trial aims to prevent the release of three convicted senderistas. None of the accused spoke during the hearing.
