Maxine Nightingale Rocks 'A Night At The Casbah'

Eight years ago, after a cancer diagnosis, a couple founded an organization to support translational research in Southern California. Over seven years, they raised over $7 million, donating $2.5 million to City of Hope and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Phase I Foundation, an all-volunteer group, started around a kitchen table and grew to host events with 600 attendees, raising over a million dollars in one evening.
