Helicopter Pilot Attempts Record-Breaking Circumnavigation of the Globe via North and South Poles

Jennifer Murray, a 63-year-old helicopter pilot, aims to set a world record by flying around the world via the North and South Poles. Despite the challenges of flying at high altitudes and extreme temperatures, she is determined to succeed. Accompanied by British co-pilot Colin Burdill, they are flying a Bell 407 helicopter. The journey began in New York, with plans to reach the South Pole on December 17th, marking the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first flight. They will then travel north along the Pacific Coast, visiting over 150 conservation sites, and return to New York by April 2004.
