Most Of Florida Will Begin Reopening Next Week

Governor DeSantis announced Florida's phase one reopening plan, effective next Monday. The plan includes reopening restaurants and retailers at 25% capacity indoors, allowing outdoor dining with tables six feet apart, and resuming non-urgent surgeries with adequate protective equipment. Movie theaters, gyms, and bars will remain closed, and schools will continue online classes. Residents are encouraged to practice social distancing, wear masks, and avoid large gatherings. Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are excluded from phase one due to high COVID-19 cases but are expected to join soon.
