Australian Military Reservists To Assist With Bushfires

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the deployment of 3000 Army, Navy, and Air Force reservists to assist in battling over 100 bushfires in Australia. The reservists will provide supplies, aid evacuations, and clear roads. Morrison also committed $14 million to lease firefighting aircraft. Despite these efforts, Morrison faced criticism for his handling of the crisis, especially after taking a vacation. The fires have devastated over 12.3 million acres and claimed at least 24 lives.
