Renewable energy: CETO system converts sea waves into zero-emission electricity

The CETO system harnesses sea waves to generate electricity using steel buoys that produce 240 kilowatts. These buoys are placed at the Australian naval base HMAS Sterling and are designed to withstand extreme weather. The system pumps high-pressure water to an onshore power plant via a subsea pipe, spinning turbines to produce carbon-free electricity. Additionally, CETO can power desalination plants by using high-pressure water for reverse osmosis to remove salt from seawater.
