VOICED: US hospital ship on its way to Haiti

The USNS Comfort, a large hospital ship in the US Navy, is heading to Haiti to provide aid after a recent earthquake. Equipped with food, water, and medical supplies, the ship can perform up to 25 surgeries a day and accommodate 1,000 patients. The crew has prior experience in Haiti, having worked with local NGOs, which they hope will enhance their current mission. The ship has previously been deployed in Iraq and after Hurricane Katrina, bringing valuable experience to its current mission in Port-au-Prince.
