The Organization of American States (OAS) is set to discuss a proposal by Colombia and Brazil regarding Bolivia's social and political situation. The proposal urges Bolivia's interim government, led by Janine Áñez, to call for elections in line with constitutional mandates and to establish an electoral calendar ensuring democratic guarantees. The OAS Permanent Council will address this in a session in Washington, and the OAS General Secretariat is instructed to provide technical support for a transparent and credible electoral process. Meanwhile, the interim government is involved in a dialogue, supported by the Catholic Church, EU, and UN, focusing on forming an impartial Supreme Electoral Tribunal.
