VOICED : Chile y UE quieren iniciar negociacion para modernizar acuerdo

Chile and the EU aim to finalize negotiations to modernize their 2003 association agreement. The modernization will include energy, public procurement, SMEs, investments, and a gender chapter. The EU is a crucial partner for Chile, being a significant source of investments. In 2016, the EU exported $9.6 million in goods to Chile, while imports from Chile were $8.2 million. The current agreement allows for over 90% of trade exchanges to be liberalized.
