VOICED : Mexico quiere mas inversiones en petroleo

The Mexican government unveiled its plan for hydrocarbon exploration and extraction from 2015 to 2019, aiming to boost private investment and counter declining production. Since December, three licitation rounds have been announced, with the first set of blocks to be awarded on July 15, streamed live online. Mexico has faced a significant drop in Pemex's production, prompting a 2013 reform to open the sector to private investment for the first time in over 75 years. Falling oil prices and liquidity issues have led to more flexible licitation terms.
