VOICED : EEUU anuncia 17 nuevos cargos contra Julian Assange

The US Department of Justice announced 17 new charges against Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, accusing him of endangering sources by publishing 750,000 military and diplomatic documents in 2010. Assange is also accused of conspiring with Chelsea Manning, who was convicted in 2013 for the leak. Assange's supporters argue that he should be protected under freedom of press laws. The US Justice Department maintains that Assange is not a journalist. Assange was arrested in the UK after being in the Ecuadorian embassy for seven years. The new charges could result in a 10-year prison sentence for each charge.
