Voytek, a Syrian Brown bear, became an unlikely mascot for Polish troops during World War II. Adopted by soldiers after being found with a shepherd, Voytek traveled with them, becoming an integral part of their unit. Known for his playful antics and ability to carry ammunition, Voytek was officially enlisted in the Polish army. His bravery and loyalty were celebrated, and he became a symbol of the 22nd Transport Company. After the war, Voytek lived in Scotland, becoming a local celebrity until his death in 1963.
