The Mars Space Camp aims to put astronauts into orbit by 2028 using a spacecraft with living quarters, a laboratory, and solar arrays. It relies on near-term technologies, including NASA-tested capsules. The spacecraft will be assembled in space around the moon, enabling astronauts to explore Mars more effectively. They can control drones and rovers in real-time, unlike the current 20-minute delay. Future modules may allow astronauts to land on Mars and return to Earth.
