Glucose is essential in all living organisms, serving as the basis for respiration and energy in animals, and as a product of photosynthesis in plants. The glucose molecule consists of 6 carbon atoms, 12 hydrogen atoms, and 6 oxygen atoms. Despite various disposal methods, only one natural form of glucose exists, known as dextrose.
