Drone delivery service to begin in Finland by 2019

The company began testing its pickup and delivery services in Australia in 2014 and plans to start another trial in Finland by spring 2019. The drones, designed in-house, feature fixed wings and helicopter-like rotors, with a wingspan under 1.5 meters. Each drone weighs about 5 kilograms and can carry packages up to 1.5 kilograms over a 20-kilometer round trip. The company employs a specialized unmanned traffic management platform to automate and manage drone flights.
