VOICED : La Haya sentencia a favor de Peru en disp

The International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled in favor of Peru, granting it part of the Pacific Ocean previously controlled by Chile. The decision confirmed Chile's maritime borders up to 80 miles and awarded Peru the area beyond up to 200 miles. The ruling is not expected to affect small-scale Chilean fishermen. Both countries have agreed to abide by the decision, aiming to resolve a historical dispute and foster economic cooperation. Despite the ruling, trade and investments are expected to continue shaping bilateral relations.
