Shakira visited Cartagena, Colombia, to inaugurate her sixth Pies Descalzos school, accompanied by her son Milán. The school, built with $10 million from various donors, aims to provide education and a safe environment for 1,700 children. Shakira, celebrated for her contributions, has been a UNICEF goodwill ambassador for over a decade and was appointed as an education advisor by President Obama in 2011.
