VOICED : Primera sentencia del Fifagate para jerarca de Guatemala

Héctor Trujillo, former general secretary of the Guatemalan Football Federation, was sentenced to eight months in prison for his involvement in the FIFA corruption scandal. This marks the first sentence in the FIFA Gate case. Trujillo expressed that the sentence was a life lesson and mentioned that any message to the people of Guatemala should come from them. He was under house arrest in Florida for two years and has already served one month of his sentence. Trujillo will be deported to Guatemala after serving his sentence. He is required to pay $415,000 to FedeFut and $175,000 to the U.S. government. The decision on the payment is still pending. The scandal has implicated 42 football officials and sports executives across the Americas.
