VOICED : Osos hormigueros pigmeos huespedes de lujo en un zoo de Peru

Paulina and Freddy are special pygmy anteaters at Huachipa Zoo in Peru. Rescued from traffickers a decade ago, they are the oldest of their kind outside their natural habitat. Native to South and Central America, they never touch the ground and face threats from deforestation. Their diet is complex, requiring special milk with probiotics in captivity. Pygmy anteaters have distinct physical traits, such as a small pink snout and a tail as long as their body, weighing around 500 grams.
